BEIJING (XFN-ASIA) - China is likely to divert some expenditure to
earthquake reconstruction in 2009, with funding for other government spending
being assigned a lower priority, the finance ministry said.
The ministry said it will suspend approvals for government office
construction and tightly control government vehicle purchases to help make room
for funding the reconstruction effort.
