JAKARTA (Thomson Financial) - PT Holcim Indonesia, the country's
third-biggest cement producer, said Friday it has acquired PT Bintang Polindo
Perkasa to strengthen its market presence on the main island of Java,
particularly in Banten and West Java provinces.
Holcim Indonesia's corporate communications manager Rafael Jeffry Sani said
Bintang Polindo is a cement grinding plant with a production capacity of 600,000
tons per annum.
Sani did not disclose the value of the transaction.
Swiss cement maker Holcim is the majority owner of Holcim Indonesia.
